Francis and Nellie Denning opened The Dragon's Cache on October of 1980. The family owned business specializes in custom designed stained glass windows as well as many other beautiful art glass pieces. They have produced pieces for residences, businesses and churches in the United States and internationally. The glass techniques they use include leaded and foiled panels and sun catchers, fusing, slumping, sandblasting, etching and painting.
Francis has had a passion for art all of his life. He has taken numerous classes in art glass and fine art painting. He continues to paint watercolors. His subject matter both in glass and watercolor is quite varied. He has won awards both for art glass and watercolors. Francis focuses on the designing, painting on glass, and kiln work and does some of the fabrication.
Nellie's desire to help in the production of Francis' designs led her to develop the skills she needed to fabricate stained glass pieces which eventually led to her creating pieces of her own. She has won awards for her work in stained glass. The ability to work cooperatively has increased the creative abilities of both of the Dennings and has led to the production of interesting and beautiful glass works for The Dragon's Cache.
